Ladakh Road Trip from Delhi

Duration: 11D/10N | INR 28,500/PP

Overview

A Ladakh trip from Delhi is not just a journey, it is an experience of a lifetime. Among all road trips in India, the Delhi–Leh route stands out as one of the most iconic and adventurous. Traveling by road allows you to witness dramatic landscape transitions — from plains to lush valleys, and eventually to the stark, moon-like terrain of Ladakh.

The journey via Manali offers mesmerizing views of snow-clad peaks, high mountain passes, and winding Himalayan highways. As you approach Leh, you will notice the gradual transformation into a cold desert landscape unlike anywhere else in the country.

In Leh, explore the historic Leh Palace, offering panoramic views of the town. Visit Shanti Stupa, Thiksey Monastery, and Hall of Fame. Witness the stunning confluence at Sangam Point where the Indus and Zanskar rivers meet, and seek blessings at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib.

A visit to Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake is a must. Experience camping under the stars, double-humped camel rides, and vast high-altitude landscapes that were once part of the Indo-Chinese trade routes. Adventure lovers can also explore Tso Moriri, known for its pristine beauty and rich wildlife.

On your return, halt at Sarchu, a major camping and acclimatization point. The best time for this road trip is from April to September, as highways remain closed during winter due to snow. Adventure activities such as trekking and biking are best enjoyed between June and September.

This journey is perfect for thrill seekers, nature lovers, and cultural explorers who want to experience Ladakh in its raw and real form.
