Manali Winter Getaway
Duration: 5D/4N
Overview
Escape to the snowy wonderland of Kullu and Manali with this thrilling 5 Days / 4 Nights Kullu Manali Winter Getaway! Nestled in the heart of Himachal Pradesh, Manali offers breathtaking snow-capped peaks, frozen valleys, adventure thrills, ancient temples, and serene hot springs perfect for a refreshing winter break from Delhi/Chandigarh.
In February 2026 (peak winter season), expect magical snowfall, cozy bonfires, and exciting snow activities in Solang Valley. Rohtang Pass remains closed due to heavy snow and clearance work (typical closure Nov–May; no permits issued), so we’ve focused on accessible highlights like Solang’s winter sports (skiing, snow scooters, etc.), local Manali gems, and a scenic excursion to Kullu/Manikaran. This package includes comfortable stays, private transfers, meals, and hassle-free sightseeing — ideal for creating unforgettable snowy memories!
Day-Wise Itinerary
Get picked up from Chandigarh Railway Station or Airport between 7–9 AM in a comfortable private cab. Embark on a scenic 7–8 hour drive (approx. 300 km) through winding Himalayan roads, pine forests, and valleys — enjoy stunning winter views en route. Arrive in Manali by afternoon/evening, check into your pre-booked hotel, and unwind after the journey. Freshen up, savor a delicious dinner, and relax with the crisp mountain air. Overnight stay in Manali.
Wake up to a chilly, refreshing morning and enjoy a hearty breakfast. Your cab picks you up for a full-day city tour of enchanting Manali. Visit iconic spots: the ancient Hadimba Devi Temple (nestled in cedar forests, a mythical gem), Club House (for games and views), vibrant Tibetan Monastery (peaceful prayers and handicrafts), and other highlights like Manu Temple or Vashisht hot springs (optional dip in natural sulfur waters for relaxation). Marvel at lofty snow peaks, deep gorges, lush (snow-dusted) valleys, flowing rivers, and flower-bedecked meadows blanketed in white. Return to the hotel in the evening. Enjoy a mouthwatering dinner and a relaxing night (bonfire optional for extra warmth). Overnight stay in Manali.
Rise early for breakfast and get ready for adventure! Depart by 7 AM for Solang Valley (approx. 13 km, 30–45 min drive) — Manali’s premier winter playground, blanketed in fresh snow (3–4 ft in Feb 2026). Indulge in thrilling snow activities: skiing, snow scooters, snowboarding, zorbing on snow, sledding, or paragliding (tandem flights over snowy meadows — weather permitting). Soak in breathtaking views of snow-laden peaks and valleys. (Note: Rohtang Pass is closed in February due to heavy snowfall and safety; no access or permits available — focus on Solang’s excellent alternatives for the ultimate snow experience.) Return to Manali by evening. Relax at the hotel with dinner and overnight stay.
After a good night’s sleep in the hills, enjoy breakfast and depart early for Manikaran (approx. 85 km via Kullu, 3–4 hours drive). Stop en route for thrilling river rafting on the Beas River in Kullu (seasonal; extra cost, moderate rapids in winter). Arrive at sacred Manikaran: visit the famous Gurudwara (hot water springs and langar) and ancient Shiv Temple (legendary hot water boiling naturally). On the return, explore Kullu highlights: famous Kullu Shawl Industry (see traditional weaving, shop authentic woolens), and Vaishno Devi Temple. Drive back to Manali by evening, check in, and unwind. Savor dinner and overnight stay in Manali.
Wake up leisurely, have breakfast by 9–10 AM. Checkout from the hotel (pickup around 7–9 AM as needed). Embark on the scenic return drive to Chandigarh Railway Station/Airport (approx. 8 hours, 300 km). Relive the snowy adventures, temple serenity, and mountain magic as you head home. Arrive by evening — trip concludes with a heart full of delightful, memorable Himalayan moments!
